The Milton P. Crenchaw Aviation Training Academy (MPCATA) is proud to host the MPCATA Aviation Career Education (ACE) Academy. It is a nationally recognized program delivered in collaboration with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The ACE Academy is an interactive summer experience for middle and high school students who are interested in aviation and aerospace.
The MPCATA ACE Academy focuses on exposing and educating middle and high school students during a week of Self Esteem, Science, Technology, Engineering Arts and Math (ESTEAM) skills-based activities using an FAA-approved curriculum. Students enjoy the following activities:
Leadership Training
Lessons in Flight Planning, Aviation History, and the Physics of Flight
Instruction on Aircraft Design and Maintenance Field Trips to Aviation Sites
Flight SImulations and, in some locations, Flights in Aircraft
Engagement in Learning About the Various Career Options in the Profession
